These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of EZ Content Protect (the "App"), provided by Z Dzine ("we," "us," or "our"). By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms on behalf of the Shopify merchant you represent.
1. Eligibility and authority
You must have authority to act for the store and be legally capable of entering this agreement. Your use of Shopify remains governed by your separate agreement with Shopify.
2. The service and its limits
The App provides configurable restrictions for common browser actions, including right-click menus, text selection, copying and cutting, image dragging, dragging and dropping, and certain keyboard shortcuts. It can display a merchant-defined browser console notice.
3. Setup and merchant responsibilities
You are responsible for selecting appropriate settings, saving them, enabling the theme embed on the intended theme, saving the theme, and testing the storefront. Protection is intentionally inactive inside the theme editor. Previously opened pages may need refreshing after changes.
Browser and theme behavior can differ. Text selection and shortcut restrictions can affect accessibility and visitor preferences. Test navigation and forms, enable only the restrictions you need, and ensure your use meets applicable law and Shopify policies.
4. Plans, trial, and billing
Standard includes all current protection features and is offered at $4.99 USD per month or $50 USD per year. Eligible subscriptions have a 7-day trial. Eligible development stores can select an eligible plan at no charge. Shopify presents the current prices, taxes, billing schedule, and trial eligibility before approval; those approved terms govern your subscription.
Subscriptions are billed through Shopify. You can manage billing schedules from the App’s Pricing page through Shopify’s hosted flow. Turning off the protection switch or theme embed does not cancel a subscription. To stop using the App and cancel through Shopify, uninstall it; previously incurred charges may still apply. Contact support with refund questions. Refunds are handled through applicable Shopify billing processes and mandatory legal rights.
5. Subscription access
Protection requires active subscription access, including an eligible trial or no-charge test subscription. Access is verified periodically, so activation or expiry can take time to appear on newly loaded pages. Scheduled cancellation retains access while Shopify reports the subscription as active. Temporary verification failures may use recently verified access for a limited grace period; this is not a promise of ongoing access after cancellation.
Saved protection choices can remain after subscription access ends. Data removal after uninstall is described in the Privacy Policy. Keeping settings does not grant access to paid features.
6. Acceptable use and merchant content
Use the App only for stores and content you are authorized to manage. You may not use it for unlawful, deceptive, or harmful conduct, infringe third-party rights, interfere with the service, or bypass access or billing controls. Do not place confidential information, malicious content, or misleading claims in a console notice.
You retain rights in your content and settings. You grant us the limited rights needed to process, store, transmit, and display your configuration and notice to provide and support the App.
7. Privacy
The EZ Content Protect Privacy Policy explains the information processed for authentication, configuration, subscriptions, and support. Merchants remain responsible for their own storefront notices, privacy obligations, and staff access.
8. Support, availability, and updates
Contact support@zdzine.com for support. Response times are not guaranteed unless separately agreed in writing. We may update the App for reliability, security, compatibility, or changes to Shopify. The service depends on Shopify, hosting, internet access, themes, and browsers; uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.
9. Intellectual property
The App’s software, design, documentation, and branding belong to Z Dzine or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App for your store during authorized access. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App.
10. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that use will prevent copying or satisfy every legal, accessibility, or business requirement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Z Dzine is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption. Our aggregate liability arising from the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App during the six months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Mandatory rights and liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the App by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, non-payment, prohibited conduct, legal or Shopify requirements, or material breach. Provisions intended to survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limitations, and dispute provisions, remain effective.
12. Changes and disputes
We may update these Terms and will revise the date above and provide additional notice where required. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where Z Dzine is legally established, excluding conflict-of-law rules. The parties will first attempt to resolve disputes in good faith. Nothing limits mandatory rights or remedies.
13. General and contact
These Terms and the referenced Privacy Policy form the agreement for the App unless a separate written agreement applies. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Send questions to Z Dzine at support@zdzine.com.
